This weekend my sister graduated from the University of Arizona, and I couldn’t be prouder.

But what is even better is how proud SHE is. I believe that her Facebook post says it better than I ever could:

“21 years ago today my virus, Acute Transverse Myelitis, attacked the myelin of my spine. This rare airborne virus resulted in living with a physical disability for the rest of my life. During those weeks in the hospital my family did not know if I would make it through, and what type of limitations I would have to endure. While there have been some limitations throughout the years, my family, friends, doctors and myself have never let them get in the way.

On this exact day 21 years later, I am accomplishing one of the most amazing endeavors of my life. Today I am graduating for the best place on earth. I am so fortunate that I decided to come to the University of Arizona and stuck through the hard times. These past four years have been extraordinary. I have grown into the individual I am today, gained so many amazing friendships (and bestieships), and discovered what my passions are in life. I am so thankful for everyone who has helped me during this journey and I know I could not have done it without you! BEAR DOWN!!!! WILDCAT FOR LIFE!!!!!”

Obsessing Over: This amazing weather we are having. Spring is in the air and I couldn’t be happier about it. E (the boy) and I spent a good part of the weekend walking around this lovely city of ours, and nothing could have made me happier.

Working On: Everything. Mondays are always the worst.

Listening To: JT. I can’t wait to get my hands on his new record.

Thinking About: How tired I am this morning. I love the extra sunlight that comes with daylight savings time, but I hate the tired feeling and mental fog that accompanies it.

Anticipating: All the wonderful things that are on the horizon. E is back in DC (for good!), the big event that I volunteer for every year is less than a month away, Passover is thisclose and I am 19 days away from being with my grandparents in Florida.

This recipe (Smitten Kitchen’s Harvest Roast Chicken with Grapes, Olives and Rosemary) is so scrumptious and beyond easy to make.
